Woodland Hill
Weston, MA
Atop a steep wooded hill embedded in the heart of Weston, MA, lies a hidden residential landscape that seeks to connect a home to the dense woodland below. Through a series of lawns, gardens, and woodlands, the family is embraced with the experiences of recreation, relaxation, and play. Removing invasive vines and Norway Maples revealed the ledge outcrops and existing canopy of mature oaks on and off the site which became a focal point within the landscape. A series of retaining walls were designed to provide for larger open lawn areas and to improve the function of the parking areas. Generously proportioned terraces off the house were placed to accommodate for outdoor cooking, dining, lounging, and spa.
