Doug Jones

Principal, FASLA

A partner at LeBlanc Jones since 2000, Doug has practiced landscape architecture in the Boston area for the past 25 years. His award-winning landscapes in the United States, Europe, and Saudi Arabia include parks and greenbelts, residential communities, mixed-use developments, and residential properties.

In his landscape designs, Doug seeks to reveal the layered history of a site through an interplay of existing and introduced elements. His designs display an attention to detail, horticulture, and craft born of his early experience in the nursery industry and landscape construction. This foundation, and his education in landscape architecture at the University of Idaho, underpins landscapes equally strong in concept, execution, and durability.

In 2018, Doug was made a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects recognizing his body of work. That same year he was inducted into the New England Design Hall of Fame. Doug has served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations advocating for historic preservation, open space and public health. Since 2007, he has served on the Design Review Board for the historic town of Marblehead, Massachusetts.
